A little history of mosaics:
Before detailing the pros and cons, and uses of mosaics in home decoration and construction, let's share a little history of mosaics.
According to some historians, the mosaics date back to 3000 BC, where allegorical mosaics of different gods were placed to enhance their meaning and beauty. The mosaics of the time were made with colored clay and nailed to form the decorative figures of temples and sidewalks.
What is tile?: The tile is a type of tile made with different materials and techniques. Its finish is more rustic than mosaic.
Mosaics: Cement-based tiles have more precise, stylized, computer-generated patterns that are stronger and more complex than bricks. The final result of the mosaic is not very shiny, it is improved by applying putty or wax.
Tiles: A tile is a thin piece of ceramic and one side is glazed because it is fired with glaze. It is a waterproof piece with a glossy finish.
