Cute cardboard, fabric and leather belt baskets! An incredible idea to keep your things organized and keep your home in style.
Build storage boxes made of cardboard, lined with fabric and leather belt handles.
Materials:
– Cartoons of the size you want
- Scissors
– Simple or custom fabric
– Any type of glue
– Leather belts (not usable)
- Screws
- Screwdriver
– A pointed object or knife to open holes in the cardboard and fabric.
Instructions:
First start with the cardboard:
Use tape for each side of the box. You can cut the top sheets or turn them inward to make them more durable. Next, measure and cut a piece of fabric for the inside of the box. For all three sides as you will see below.
After you have finished cutting, you can iron the fabric to have a smoother surface, then we will glue the fabric internally with the glue. Pour small amounts.
Your box should be as seen in the image...
Don't forget to iron, and then glue the fabric.
Now we must do it for the outside of the box. Take your cloth and wrap as shown below in the pictures. Remember to leave a 2-3 inch allowance on the fabric for threading and finishing.
Clothespins will help you keep the fabric in place.
Be careful not to leave air inside the fabric.
On each side fold the fabric with glue.
Wrap as if it were a gift!
When your box is dry, we are ready for the next step. Place the leather belt…
Measure and cut the band to the desired size.
Make two holes with a pointed tool in the box, on the fabric
Screw! You can also make rounded corners on the belt before screwing. In both cases the result is always great
The fabric in both boxes is the same. To make the stripes simply draw with a ruler and marker on the fabric.
