Building Magazine Storage Containers!

Building Storage Containers for Magazines or Books! Do you need a good way to archive your old magazines or books? Build these simple wooden containers and have all your important reference materials at your fingertips instead of having them lost in a place you don't remember.


  • 1×4 pine
  • 1/4″. Plywood


  • Air compressor
  • Air hose
  • Nail gun
  • Circle saw
  • Cordless drill
  • Set of drills
  • Jigsaw
  • Sander
  • Safety glasses


1.-Mark the cuts: Cut the 1/4″. plywood in eight 11-1/2″x11″ pieces. Use a 5-gallon bucket to trace a graceful S-curve from the top 11-1/2″ corner through the plywood to a 6-inch. mark on the opposite side. Just set a smooth curve.

2.- Cut the curves: Stack the pairs so that the best sides face each other and tape all the sheets flush at the edges. cut the curve with a jigsaw or other saw.

3.- Nail the pieces: Cut the pine boards into 6, 9-1/2 and 11-1/2″. of lengths. Drill a 1 inch diameter finger into the 6″ one. Then nail the sides to the frames with 1″, sand as needed and apply a finish.
