How to Install a Wall Panel in a Simple Way. What color should you paint your bedroom to make it look bigger? The first answer that comes to mind is white, the most obvious option but not the only one. There are other tones that can give a fresh air to your room without losing its spaciousness.

Preparation
You should pay special attention to the humidity level of the room where you will attach the panels. In the case of wood-based panels, humidity influences the contraction and expansion of the wood. The humidity level should range between 30% and 50% inclusive.
Leave the panels in the room where you plan to install them for 48 to 72 hours before installation to acclimate the panels to the temperature and humidity level of the room. Place the panels flat along their 8 ft (2,438 m) length against the wall to allow air circulation between the panels.
Your walls should be level as much as possible. They must be clean, dry and solid. It is possible to fix panels on posts, but we recommend fixing horizontal supports to strengthen the structure and increase the quality of the joint. If attaching beyond grade or to exterior walls, use a 4-mil vapor barrier under each panel.

Under the wall, draw a reference line with a level. This will allow you to ensure that the panels are straight, even if your walls are not square. Plan for a 3/16-inch (0.476 cm) gap at corners, along windows and doors, and under and above panels. Before attaching the panels, place them without glue to ensure they fit properly. They must be strongly corrected.
Use a panel adhesive or construction adhesive on the back of all panels. A 1/4 inch (0.635 cm) bead will be sufficient as long as you are applying it along the surface on the back and with a repeating S if you are applying dry wall panels. For direct application to posts or brackets, apply a 1/4 inch (0.635 cm) bead of adhesive to each stud or bracket.
Refinement
Finish by strengthening each panel with a finishing nail gun. Make sure it is driven deep into the grooves to prevent nail visibility and to make the nails appear less and increase strength. Joints are always a sensitive place in construction work.
Strengthen every joint by following this helpful tip. Apply an adhesive, such as wood glue, to the joints to prevent separation once the panels are installed. Then, remove the extra adhesive following the manufacturer's instructions.
